Welcome Back Ashy!
What a great welcome back to the school year we had this week as we celebrated the Year of the Horse through a Lion Dance performance on the netball courts. Myself and Mrs Roberts got into the spirit as we offered our red envelopes to the lions, but we didn't get any oranges in return! We thank Paula and Yuen for organsing, and Ash Howarth from Marshall White who supported the school in obtaining the performers. For more photos follow this link
The Oval is back in business!
After closing down over the summer break, we have finally opened the oval up to foot traffic this week! For the rest of this week it will just be limited to those wanting to walk or run around, but from next week we will roll out the new soccer goals and encourage ball sports to return to the green, green grass of the oval.
Prep Tours have started
This week we started 2027 School Tours with our Year 6 Community leaders, Olivia and Connor, taking prospective families through our new Prep classrooms. School tours will run every week for Term 1 and 2 on different days and times to enable families to attend when it suits them. As well as sharing our entire school, the tours allow our Year 6s invaluable opportunities to be a leader in out school. I know it's a big step for them but they do an amazing job in standing up in front of unfamiliar adults and delivering their speeches. Next week it will be the turn of two more Community team members to take the tour as they each have a go at being our tour guides. If you have or know of someone who is thinking about Prep 2027, they can book a tour spot here
We have received advice that the previously announced re-development of the Welfare Road school crossing will begin on March 10th and last about 3 weeks. During the time it should still be able to be crossed. Hopefully it won't interrupt our school walkers each day.
