Expo and Reports

Thank you to those who came out to the Term 2 Whole School Expo this Monday and Tuesday. Sharing the work done in the classrooms is an important part of  the school-home relationship we are looking to build.

On Tuesday the Semester 1 reports were published on Compass. According to our most recent data, there are still nearly 90 students for whom the report has not been viewed. I encourage all parents to log into Compass and read through the report.

Our new quick shade tent

New tent

The new nets make for more satisfying baskets

Yesterday we debuted our new quick shade tent as the Assembly team ran the weekly footy tipping competition. The bright yellow tent, and accompanying Ashy branded table cloth and flags, are a great addition for our school. Look for them at big school events such as Ashy Olympics, and the Mini Olympics as well as during Free Bread Fridays.

JSC Fundraiser

This week Geoff replaced our basketball and netball nets in the playground as part of the Junior School Council's fundraising efforts. You may remember the free dress day from June 12th where we managed to raise an amazing $514 on the day. Half that amount was sent off to their chosen charity - Kids Under Cover who assist in providing accommodation for at risk youth. The other half went into the JSC kitty who, as a group of representatives from Years 3,4,5 and 6, decided that we needed to replace the aging nets around the school. Thank you to all who donated!

At assembly, we drew the three lucky winners who entered a house in our Lego display, with each receiving a prize.
