Over the past two weeks our Grade 2 students engaged in a range of learning experiences across different subject areas. In Reading sessions students explored the story of Stuart Little, identifying and mapping the main events to build their understanding of narrative structure. Students then applied this knowledge to write their own narratives, focusing on sequencing and expressing their ideas clearly. In Maths, students developed their understanding of place value using MAB (Multi-Base Arithmetic Blocks). Through hands on activities and maths games, they explored hundreds, tens, and ones in an engaging and interactive way. Students completed their superhero satchels during Connected Learning, reflecting on their individual strengths and how they can contribute positively to their community. During a yoga session, students were introduced to mindfulness and practised calm-down strategies to support their focus and emotional regulation.
