It was wonderful to see so many families attend Expo earlier this week. Thank you for taking the time to support your child and explore their Connected Learning projects. We hope you enjoyed seeing the unique animals they created and hearing about the different body parts and features they designed.
In Literacy, we are nearing the completion of our learning of single graphemes. Recently, our focus has been on revising some of the trickier graphemes, particularly vowel sounds, through our phonics program. If possible, please continue accessing decodable readers through Little Learners Love Literacy during the holidays to help maintain and strengthen these skills.
In Numeracy, we have enjoyed learning about measurement, with a particular focus on length. This week, we participated in a measurement session with our Prep Pals, using footspans to measure larger areas. It was great fun comparing the measurements taken with Prep-sized feet to those of our Year 5 pals and discussing why the results were different!
We wish all our Prep families a wonderful, relaxing, and safe holiday break, and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 3.
