Yr 2 News

Congratulations to all of the Year 2 students on completing a happy and busy term. It’s hard to believe it’s already the end of Semester 1!

This fortnight we have been working hard on our dioramas, using craft materials and polymer clay to help our ideas come to life. We had a visit from Ms Rapson’s 1970 Holden ute and were able to see how cars looked in the olden days.

We enjoyed presenting our Information reports and our dioramas at Expo and were excited to show our families our classrooms.

In Literacy we continued to use non-fiction texts to research and used this information to draft and publish our Information posters.

In Numeracy we revised addition and subtraction, time and 2D shapes and explored these topics on My Numeracy.

We enjoyed the whole school Smile morning and created some funny and innovative names for our groups. We worked with the Prep students to create Room on the Broom puppet shows and helped them feel comfortable in a new learning space.

We wish you all a peaceful break and look forward to seeing you when we return for another fabulous term of learning.
