We can’t believe it’s already the end of Term 3 – Term 4 is just around the corner! The students are eager and excited for the upcoming school holidays to recharge, ready to return for their FINAL term of primary school. It’s been a big few weeks full of energy, creativity and achievement. Over the past two weeks, students have been:
- Exploring mean, median, mode and range through hands-on activities – including a fun Scrabble-based challenge! Students generated their own data sets and calculated each measure of central tendency.
- Practising and performing poetry in small groups, showcasing both their understanding of poetic devices and their performance skills. It’s been great to see their confidence grow on stage.
- Presenting their Call to Action projects, which they have been working on over the past fortnight. The final presentations were thoughtful, creative and inspiring to watch.
- Expanding their mathematical knowledge in multiplication, learning to solve problems using the grid method, lattice multiplication and the vertical algorithm.
- Doing an amazing job at the Ashy Olympics, showing great sportsmanship and team spirit. A number of students went on to compete at GIDSSA, with several making it through to the Division level – we wish them all the best for next term!
A huge thank you to all the families who came to our Expo this week – the students absolutely loved sharing their learning with you and showcasing what they’ve been working on.
