We’ve been busy wrapping up our term in Year 4 - Here are some of the highlights!
Year 4 took part in a very special AuslanHub incursion with Kerrie, who shared her experiences as a deaf person. Students were fascinated to learn about the differences between cochlear implants and hearing aids, and learning some introductory Auslan signs.
After weeks of brainstorming, drafting, and illustrating, they were very proud to share their finished pieces with the Year 2 students on Tuesday afternoon. The younger students enjoyed listening to the creative stories, while the Year 4’s took pride in reading aloud and showcasing the messages of inclusion woven through their work.
Students have been revisiting multiplicative thinking, with a focus on the inverse relationship between multiplication and division. They explored how understanding one operation can help solve the other and have been practising applying this knowledge to a range of problems.
